Colours Awards Nomination 2018

Friday, 22 December, 2017

Hey Volunteers!

Colors Awards is back for the 2018 edition and we need your help to nominate your fellow volunteers whom you feel have made a difference to both the lives of our beneficiaries and volunteers! Know a volunteer who is passionate and deserves recognition, nominate him/her now! Know a volunteer leader who unconditionally gave his/her time towards CSC's SPs or RVPs, nominate him/her now! We are accepting all nominations till 21st Jan 2018 so don't hesitate and start nominating now at http://bit.ly/2z2xkfp.

This year, we hope to debunk some myths about Colors Awards so here's the FAQ section for all nominators:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
{FAQ}

1) If I nominate too many people, will it reduce the chances of the people I nominate getting recognised?

Ans: Fret not volunteers! There is no fixed number of awards that we are giving out this year. If you feel someone is deserving due to his/her efforts, feel free to nominate him! I'm sure the volunteer will be very touched to receive a testimonial from you as well!

2) I do not have the email address or NUS email address of the person I want to nominate, sigh....can I still nominate him/her?

Ans: Do not worry if you are missing any information regarding the person you want to nominate, the colors awards team will try our very best to identify the volunteer because we too want to appreciate that awesome volunteer you have worked with! On a side note, PLEASE do try your best to type in the full name of the nominee, it will really help us out a lot .

3) Hmmm, I want to nominate a lot of people but I'm a bit lazy, maybe I will just write 3 words for my nominations.

Ans: Volunteers!!!! Please refrain from these behaviours! The quality of nominations are important to us as well and this year, we are requesting that you all fill in the reasons for nominations/dedications with at least 30 words! This will help us understand why you think he/she deserves to be appreciated and recognised! Remember, a quality nomination goes a long way in showing appreciation to your fellow volunteers, as these will be printed as testimonials to be given to the nominee!

4) Maybe if I send in my nomination at the last minute, got higher chance for the person to win something?

Ans: This statement is absolutely untrue! The colors awards committee takes each nomination seriously and time of nomination DOES NOT affect the results in any way. Therefore, please try to send in your nominations earlier as it really helps us in terms of spacing out the workload! Like you all, the colors awards committee members are also volunteers ourselves so we would love to attend events such as CSC Day or GAW instead of doing colors awards stuff all day everyday after 21st January!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you have any other questions or queries, feel free to email us at nuscsc.colorsawards@gmail.com and we will try our best to respond within 3 working days! We hope to see your nominations!
